A vibrant Syrah from Domaine des Miquettes, a small organic estate above the Rhône in Cheminas founded in 2003 by Paul Estève and Chrystelle Vareille who embraced biodynamic farming and minimal intervention in the cellar. The 2022 Saint Joseph is made from hand-picked grapes grown on steep granite and schist soils, fermented naturally and aged in terracotta amphora to preserve purity and expression. Aromas of blackberry, crushed herbs and spice rise from the glass while the palate unfolds with bright red and dark fruit, saline minerality and elegant freshness. A rare Rhône wine that captures the land, the clay, and the devotion of its makers.
