Coming from generations of Jura vignerons, he returned to his family's vineyards in 2007 after growing up in Burgundy. While particularly celebrated for his single vineyard Savagnins, his reds are equally fascinating, capturing the delicacy, perfume and mineral character of the Jura.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cspan\u003eCuvée 909 comes from Pinot Droit vines planted in 1998 in En Beuzard, a limestone rich vineyard near Ménetru-le-Vignoble, where the soils bear a striking resemblance to those of Burgundy. The challenging 2024 vintage brought frost and disease, dramatically reducing yields across the region. François fermented the wine with approximately 30% whole bunches, followed by a short ten day maceration and maturation entirely in stainless steel, without the addition of sulphur.\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cspan\u003eAt just 11% alcohol, the 2024 is an incredibly delicate and elegant Pinot Noir. Bright ruby in colour, with beautiful red berry aromatics, subtle spice and a lovely floral lift. The palate is pure and finely textured, with gentle tannins, vibrant freshness and remarkable balance. There is a wonderful transparency to the fruit, with none of the weight or extraction that can obscure the finer details of Pinot Noir.
