A refined dry white from Weingut Koehler Ruprecht, a historic family estate in the Pfalz region of Germany that has been making wine since the 1700s and is renowned for traditional, sustainable viticulture and terroir driven wines. Made from 100 % Pinot Blanc grown on a mix of sand, limestone and gravel soils across vineyards such as Steinacker, Annaberg and Saumagen, the 2023 vintage was hand harvested and fermented with native yeasts, aged on lees in a variety of barrel sizes to build texture and complexity. It shows aromas of pear, white nectarine and apple blossom with gentle hints of almond and chalky stone, leading to a rounded yet fresh palate with citrus pith and subtle herbal notes framed by clean acidity and mineral clarity that reflects the cool Pfalz climate and the estate’s long standing tradition of meticulous winemaking.
