Dessert and fortified wines offer richness, complexity, and exceptional aging potential. Our collection features sweet wines from Sauternes, Port, Sherry, Madeira, Vin Santo, and other iconic regions, showcasing late-harvest, botrytis-affected, and fortified styles.
These wines deliver concentrated flavors of dried fruit, honey, caramel, nuts, and spice, perfect for pairing with desserts, blue cheese, foie gras, and contemplative sipping. Whether you're seeking a luscious Sauternes for special occasions, a vintage Port for your cellar, or a nutty Sherry for aperitifs, our selection offers prestige and pleasure.
Perfect for ending meals, celebrating milestones, and discovering wine's most decadent expressions, dessert and fortified wines represent tradition, craftsmanship, and timeless elegance.
Appellance is a small, independent wine merchant based in Sydney, built around a simple idea: finding and sharing genuinely great wines from passionate producers around the world.
We focus on wines with soul. Wines made by real people who care deeply about what they do. Many of the bottles you'll find here are produced in small quantities, difficult to find, and chosen because we truly believe they're worth drinking.
Founded by Pedro Vicente, Appellance grew from a lifelong passion for food, wine, and hospitality. After years working as a chef and travelling through wine regions, meeting growers and tasting wines at their source, it became clear that some of the most exciting wines never make it onto the shelves of large retailers.
That's where we come in.
We spend our time searching for hidden gems, great value discoveries, and special bottles from Australia and beyond, making them easy for you to access and enjoy.
Every wine is personally selected, carefully stored in temperature-controlled conditions, and delivered with genuine care.
Most importantly, we're a small business that loves wine and loves helping people discover it. If you ever need a recommendation or are searching for something special, we're always happy to help.
Welcome to Appellance.
