A new and visionary winery in Qinhuangdao, Hebei, founded in 2019 by winemaker Shofang Hu and Levi Lee, who have revitalised old vineyards and champion sustainable, low intervention winemaking in China’s Hebei province. The wine is made from 100 % Muscat Hamburg, a historic local variety grown on old vines in the Fengjiashan vineyard, hand harvested and gently fermented with cold skin contact and native yeasts. The 2024 vintage offers aromas of rose water, passionfruit, melon and lemongrass, with bright notes of lime and yuzu on a palate that leads to a finish touched by blood orange in a semi sweet, textural style that reflects both the grape’s aromatic charm and Shofang’s expressive, site focused approach.
