A Sancerre from one of the Loire's most respected estates. Domaine Pellé's La Croix au Garde 2023 is a single-parcel Sauvignon Blanc grown on Kimmeridgian limestone, delivering the crisp citrus, saline minerality and elegant structure that Sancerre lovers seek.

Founded in 1959 by Henri Pellé, the same year Menetou-Salon was granted AOC status, Domaine Pellé has played a defining role in shaping the reputation of the appellation. Based in Morogues, widely regarded as the finest terroir of Menetou-Salon and a neighbour to Sancerre on the same Kimmeridgian limestone chain, the estate is now led by the fourth generation, Paul-Henry and Anne Pellé, farming nearly forty hectares at 300 to 350 metres. Organic and biodynamic principles guide the vineyard, with hand harvesting and minimal intervention throughout.

La Croix au Garde is a single 4-hectare parcel on caillottes limestone-clay with limestone pebbles. 100% Sauvignon Blanc, direct pressed, naturally fermented in stainless steel and aged 8 months on full lees. Bright citrus, crisp green apple and white blossom unfold over a mineral backbone. The palate is vibrant and harmonious, with lively acidity, a rounded texture and a long saline finish. Lees ageing adds quiet persistence without weight.
