A beautifully layered Jura white from Arbois, the 2022 Cuvée Floral Vieilles Vignes by Amélie Guillot is a captivating blend of Chardonnay and Savagnin sourced from old vines and raised in a deliberately ouillé, non-oxidative style. It captures the wild beauty and mineral tension of the Jura while remaining incredibly precise and vibrant.

The nose is intensely aromatic, revealing preserved lemon, ripe orchard fruits, alpine herbs, toasted hazelnut, chamomile and crushed rocks, with the Savagnin bringing its unmistakable spicy and saline edge. On the palate, the wine is textured yet electric, balancing generous fruit with piercing acidity and a deep limestone-driven mineral core.

Unlike the more oxidative traditions of the region, this “floral” cuvée emphasises freshness, purity and energy, allowing both varieties to shine with remarkable clarity. The finish is long, savoury and deeply complex, lingering with notes of citrus oil, salt and subtle nuttiness.
