Domaine Henri Germain is one of Meursault's quiet overachievers. This Bourgogne Cote d'Or Blanc comes from around a hectare of vines spread across four terroirs in Meursault and Chassagne, including Les Belles Cotes, just below Les Chevalières, and Petit Clos, a true clos right next to the winery in the heart of Meursault village. The combination of sites gives the wine a complexity well above its appellation level.
The 2023 vintage produced a wine of real precision and energy. Winemaking at Germain is understated and classical, allowing the terroir to speak clearly without interference. The result is a Chardonnay that punches well above its weight, offering genuine Meursault character at a fraction of the price of a village wine.
Neal Martin of Vinous awarded 89-90 points, writing: "The 2023 Bourgogne Cote d'Or Blanc has a slightly resinous bouquet. The palate is fresh with a citric edge on the entry and good tension. This is a quite pithy Bourgogne Cote d'Or but with impressive persistence on the finish. Very fine." Outstanding for its level.

Founded by Pedro Vicente, Appellance grew from a lifelong passion for food, wine, and hospitality. After years working as a chef and travelling through wine regions, meeting growers and tasting wines at their source, it became clear that some of the most exciting wines never make it onto the shelves of large retailers.

We spend our time searching for hidden gems, great value discoveries, and special bottles from Australia and beyond, making them easy for you to access and enjoy.
Every wine is personally selected, carefully stored in temperature-controlled conditions, and delivered with genuine care.

We take great care in packing and storing our wines. If your order arrives damaged or faulty, please contact us within 48 hours of delivery and we will arrange a replacement or refund where appropriate. Due to the nature of wine, we are unable to accept returns for change of mind.
