Alice & Olivier de Moor Le Vendangeur Masqué Le Même Azimut 2024

Regular price $120

Le Même Azimut 2024 is a particularly interesting wine from Alice and Olivier de Moor's Le Vendangeur Masqué label, made from a blend of Alsatian grape varieties sourced from a vigneron they have worked with at different times since 2017. Until now, their work with him has been focused exclusively on Riesling, making this a significant departure.

The blend is 50% Riesling, 40% Gewürztraminer, 10% Muscat and 10% Pinot Blanc. The Riesling was directly pressed and aged in barrels, while the Gewürztraminer, Muscat and Pinot Blanc were harvested as whole bunches and macerated for 15 days, separately by variety, before also being aged separately in barrels.

The different components were blended in summer 2025 and the wine was bottled in February 2026. The result is an aromatic, light and fresh wine, with the expressive character of the Alsatian varieties balanced by the precision and freshness that are so characteristic of the de Moors.

Azimut means “direction”, and the name is particularly fitting. The combination of directly pressed juice and macerated fruit, in a similar spirit to their Nuova Descriptio, represents something of a new direction for the de Moors. It is an unusual and playful wine, but one that still feels unmistakably theirs.
