Alice and Olivier de Moor's L'Humeur du Temps is usually a blend of four different Chablis parcels around the commune of Courgis, where the de Moors live and work. In 2024, however, the cuvée is quite different. After an exceptionally difficult vintage, it is a blend of virtually everything they were able to harvest from their Chablis vineyards.

The wine brings together fruit from Bel Air, Clardy, Côteau de Rosette and what little could be salvaged from their 1er Cru vines. Rather than being a selection from a few specific parcels as in a typical vintage, L'Humeur du Temps 2024 is therefore a broader snapshot of the de Moors' Chablis vineyards and of what the year allowed them to produce.

As always with Alice and Olivier de Moor, the emphasis is on purity, freshness and a sense of place rather than power. The different parcels bring their own character to the blend, creating a Chablis that is precise, energetic and beautifully textured.

The 2024 is an especially interesting release because of its unusual composition and the tiny quantities produced. It is a very personal expression of the vintage from one of Chablis' most sought-after small domaines.
