Alice & Olivier de Moor Le Vendangeur Masqué Bourgogne Blanc 2024

Regular price $130

This Bourgogne Blanc comes from the Le Vendangeur Masqué label of Alice and Olivier de Moor, made from grapes sourced from the Mâconnais. The fruit comes from a young grower the de Moors have been working with for the past three years. He does not make wine himself — his passion is in the vineyard — and the vineyard is now certified organic.

The grapes were directly pressed and then aged in barrel for one year before being blended prior to bottling. The vineyard is still young, giving the wine a particularly fresh and vibrant character, with plenty of fruit and an easy, open-drinking quality.

This wine would normally also include some Chardonnay sourced from northern Burgundy, but 2024 was an exceptionally difficult year across the region and there was no northern Burgundy fruit available for this release. The result is therefore a Mâconnais-focused expression, showcasing the freshness and generosity of the southern Burgundy fruit.

Fresh, fruit-forward and very easy to drink, this is an approachable side of the de Moors' winemaking, while still carrying their signature precision and attention to the vineyard.
