Chacra

Bodega Chacra was founded in 2004 by Piero Incisa della Rocchetta, grandson of the family behind Tuscany's legendary Sassicaia. Drawn to the ancient, ungrafted vineyards of Patagonia's Rio Negro Valley, Piero set out to make wines of extraordinary purity and a profound sense of place.

Chacra's vineyards in Mainqué were originally planted in 1932 and 1955 — among the oldest Pinot Noir vines in the world. Farmed organically and biodynamically, these low-yielding vines produce wines of rare energy, mineral tension, and elegance. Since 2017, Piero has partnered with celebrated Burgundian vigneron Jean-Marc Roulot to craft benchmark Chardonnay alongside Chacra's celebrated Pinot Noirs.

From the entry-level Barda to the flagship Treinta Y Dos, every Chacra wine is a testament to what Patagonia is capable of at its finest.
