Aristotelis Ke Anthoula Blood Orange 2025 Fiano and Nero d’Avola
A striking and highly individual co-ferment of Fiano (75%) and Nero d’Avola (25%), Blood Orange 2025 is built on extended skin contact yet handled with a notably gentle touch. Around five months on skins delivers texture and depth, while restrained extraction preserves lift, finesse and clarity.
Sourced from ironstone-rich, ancient volcanic soils in Gundagai (NSW), the wine carries a natural tension and mineral edge, finishing with a distinctive blood orange pith bitterness that defines its character. Vinification is simple and deliberate: hand-sorted fruit, long slow maceration in stainless steel, gentle basket pressing, then élevage in neutral French oak.
In the glass it is vivid and luminous. Aromatically it leans into wild strawberry, spiced cherry and citrus leaf, flowing into a bright, energetic palate that is light on its feet yet persistent. A compelling chilled red style with both immediacy and structure, it drinks beautifully now but has proven capacity to evolve with grace over time.
