A Chinese orange wine made mostly from Chardonnay with hints of other aromatic varieties, crafted by XiaoPu, the nomadic project of winemaker Ian Dai Hongjing founded in 2017. Gently skin contacted and aged in old barrels and bottle to build texture and harmony, the 2024 vintage glows with aromas of grapefruit, kumquat, fresh apricot, bamboo salt, dried lemon peel, honeysuckle and oolong tea. The palate is rounded yet lively, with bright acidity and rich, layered flavour that captures the wild energy of Ningxia’s Doves Mountain and XiaoPu’s adventurous, natural approach to winemaking.
