Denavolo Dinavolino L20 2022
Emilia-Romagna, Italy
A vibrant introduction to the world of Giulio Armani's Denavolo. Known for his work at La Stoppa, Armani crafts wines that challenge convention while remaining deeply connected to the hills of Piacenza and the traditions of natural winemaking.
Dinavolino is the more approachable sibling of Denavolo's iconic orange wines, made from a field blend including Malvasia di Candia Aromatica, Ortrugo, Marsanne and other local white varieties. The grapes undergo spontaneous fermentation with native yeasts and extended skin contact, creating a wine full of texture, freshness and personality.
Bright aromas of orange peel, apricot, wild herbs, citrus and floral notes lead into a palate that is juicy, mineral and lightly grippy, with delicate tannins and a savoury finish. A beautifully balanced skin-contact wine that combines the energy of fresh fruit with the complexity of traditional maceration.
A perfect gateway into natural wine: expressive, characterful and incredibly food friendly.
Serve slightly chilled with seafood, roasted vegetables, rice dishes, cured meats or anything with a touch of spice.
