A pioneer of biodynamic farming and natural winemaking in the region, Derain has spent decades producing wines of remarkable purity, character and individuality. These are Burgundies with soul, made with a gentle touch and an extraordinary respect for the vineyards they come from.
‘En Vosne’ comes from Gevrey-Chambertin, one of the Côte de Nuits’ most celebrated villages, renowned for producing Pinot Noir of incredible depth and complexity. Yet Derain's interpretation favours perfume, finesse and elegance over sheer power.
The wonderful 2019 vintage offers a beautiful expression of ripe red cherries, wild strawberries, rose petals and delicate earthy spice. Silky tannins, fine acidity and savoury complexity come together in a wine of remarkable balance, with the depth and generosity of the vintage beautifully complemented by Derain's unmistakable delicacy.
Recently released through the domaine's official Australian importer, this bottle comes directly from the authorised distribution channel, rather than the secondary market. Founded by Pedro Vicente, Appellance grew from a lifelong passion for food, wine, and hospitality. After years working as a chef and travelling through wine regions, meeting growers and tasting wines at their source, it became clear that some of the most exciting wines never make it onto the shelves of large retailers.

We take great care in packing and storing our wines. If your order arrives damaged or faulty, please contact us within 48 hours of delivery and we will arrange a replacement or refund where appropriate. Due to the nature of wine, we are unable to accept returns for change of mind.
