Lurji Bani Rkatsiteli 2024 Georgia
Kakheti, Georgia
A beautifully expressive Georgian amber wine from Lurji Bani, showcasing the ancient winemaking traditions of Kakheti through one of Georgia’s most important indigenous varieties. Rkatsiteli is one of the country’s signature grapes, deeply connected to the region’s long history of skin-contact and qvevri winemaking.
Made from 100% Rkatsiteli, this wine follows traditional Georgian methods, with natural fermentation and extended contact between the grape juice and skins, creating the texture, complexity and gentle tannic structure that define amber wines.
The 2024 vintage shows aromas of dried apricot, quince, orange peel, chamomile, tea leaves and wild herbs. The palate is rich yet balanced, with a beautiful combination of ripe stone fruit, savoury spice, fine tannins and a long mineral finish.
A pure expression of Georgian wine culture: ancient techniques, indigenous grapes and a deep connection to place.
A true Appellance-style wine: minimal intervention, traditional amber winemaking and a fascinating alternative to classic white wines.
Perfect with Georgian cuisine, roasted vegetables, grilled fish, aged cheeses, charcuterie or dishes with herbs and spice.
