A vibrant introduction to the world of Georgian amber wine from Okro's Wines, one of the country's leading natural wine producers. Founded by John Okruashvili, the estate farms organically in the high-altitude vineyards of Kakheti, combining ancient Georgian traditions with a fresh, modern perspective.

Made from 100% Rkatsiteli, the grapes come from 45-year-old vines growing at nearly 1,000 metres above sea level on clay and sandstone soils. Unlike many traditional Georgian amber wines, Zvari is fermented with indigenous yeasts and macerated on its skins for around two weeks in stainless steel rather than qvevri, creating a fresher, more approachable expression of Rkatsiteli. The name Zvari means "edge", referring to the upper limit of the vineyard where grapes can successfully ripen.

The 2024 vintage is bright and aromatic, offering notes of citrus peel, quince, chamomile, wild herbs and black tea. The palate is lively and precise, with gentle tannins, vibrant acidity and a long mineral finish. It captures the character of Georgian skin-contact winemaking while remaining wonderfully elegant and easy to drink.
