Laurent Roger and Mélissa Ingrand established Mataburro in 2017, working with a collection of old vineyards around Rivesaltes in northern Catalonia. Their philosophy centres on early harvesting, short macerations and gentle infusions, producing natural wines with remarkable freshness, energy and drinkability.

Quartet Rouge 2025 brings together Grenache Noir and Muscat d'Alexandrie in an exceptionally light expression of red wine. The wine was aged in concrete, allowing the fruit and delicate aromatics to remain at the forefront.

Although technically a light red, Quartet Rouge almost drinks like a white. The Muscat brings gentle floral aromatics while the Grenache contributes delicate fruit and just enough character to give the wine its red wine identity.

At only 11.5% alcohol, this is a particularly refreshing and unusual expression of Roussillon. Light, fragrant and wonderfully easy to drink, especially with a slight chill.
