Romain Le Bars Lirac Rosé 2025
Romain Le Bars established his domaine in 2018 after spending seven years alongside Eric Pfifferling at the legendary Domaine L’Anglore. Working organically across Tavel, Lirac and the surrounding Gard, he has quickly become one of the Southern Rhône's most exciting contemporary winemakers, producing wines of remarkable purity, freshness and character.
The 2025 Lirac Rosé is a blend of 50% Grenache, 35% Carignan and 15% Mourvèdre. The grapes are directly pressed before fermentation and ageing in seasoned oak vessels, bringing additional texture and complexity to this serious, gastronomic rosé.
Ripe peaches, wild strawberries and orange peel sit alongside Mediterranean herbs, rosehip and a subtle bitter herbal edge. The palate has real depth and structure, with a fluid texture, beautiful tension and a long, savoury finish.
Far removed from a simple summer rosé, this is a beautifully composed wine with enough substance for the table. Give it some air and watch it open up.
