François Rousset-Martin is one of the defining winemakers of the modern Jura, producing some of the region's most sought after Chardonnay and Savagnin. His family has cultivated vineyards around Château-Chalon for generations, and since returning to the domaine in 2007, François has developed a remarkable understanding of these historic terroirs. His wines are known for their extraordinary precision, long ageing in old oak and beautiful balance between concentration, texture and mineral freshness.

Vigne aux Dames is one of his most celebrated single vineyard Savagnins. The 2022 comes from exceptionally low yields of just 2,500 kilograms per hectare and underwent an astonishingly slow fermentation lasting almost two years. The wine spent a total of 46 months in a large 1,500 litre oak foudre before bottling in April 2026. Production was limited to just 2,000 bottles.

The result is a Savagnin of remarkable complexity and finesse. Ripe orchard fruit meets savoury notes of Comté, delicate mushroom and earthy minerality. The palate is beautifully layered and finely textured, with richness and concentration balanced by an almost electric acidity. Despite approaching 14% alcohol, the wine feels incredibly precise and light on its feet, finishing with a powerful, lingering salinity. An exceptional expression of Jura Savagnin, combining depth, tension and extraordinary elegance.
