A cult favourite of the natural wine world and one of Frank Cornelissen's most iconic creations. Susucaru is not a typical rosé, but a deeply textured, gastronomic wine that sits beautifully between a rosato and a light red.

Made from organically farmed grapes on the volcanic slopes of Mount Etna, this unique blend combines Nerello Mascalese with Malvasia, Moscadella and Catarratto. The grapes undergo native fermentation with around ten days of skin contact, giving the wine its signature colour, structure and complexity.

The 2024 vintage delivers aromas of wild strawberries, blood orange, pomegranate, rose petals and volcanic minerals. On the palate, it is bright and energetic, with juicy red fruit, savoury notes, gentle tannins and a long, saline finish.

A true Appellance-style wine: minimal intervention, volcanic terroir and a producer who has completely changed the perception of Sicilian wine. A rosato with the soul and versatility of a light red.

Serve slightly chilled with seafood, charcuterie, grilled vegetables, pasta dishes or anything with a touch of spice.
