Axel Prüfer has been farming biodynamically in the Languedoc since 2003, coaxing life from granitic soils surrounded by woodland and garrigue. His approach is hands-off by design: hand-harvested fruit, native yeasts, zero added sulfur, unfined and unfiltered. What ends up in the bottle is pure site, pure season, pure instinct.

The 2024 Avanti Popolo is a blend of Grenache, Syrah, Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Alicante Bouschet. Portions are direct-pressed for freshness, others gently macerated for depth. The result is a wine that moves: bright cherry and crushed raspberry, a floral lift on the nose, fine-grained texture, and a finish that's refreshing rather than heavy. It drinks like Southern France in summer. Warm, alive, and a little untamed.
