Hebei, China
A bright, juicy and seriously fun fruit cider from Shofang, made in Lulong County in Hebei with 65% plum and 35% Hanfu variety apple. At just 6.3% alcohol, it sits somewhere between a traditional cider and a vibrant fruit wine, with plenty of natural freshness and an easy-drinking character.
Whole plums are destemmed, crushed and fermented with their flesh, allowing the fruit to contribute plenty of colour, flavour and texture. After the primary fermentation, the fruit is pressed and fresh Hanfu apple juice is added before a second fermentation in pressurised tanks creates the natural sparkle. Fermentation is stopped at the desired level of sweetness before the cider is clarified, filtered and bottled.
The result is aromatic, juicy and refreshing, with ripe plum, peach and dark berry notes on the nose and palate. There is a lovely balance between the generous fruit sweetness and bright acidity, with a gently tangy finish that keeps things fresh rather than cloying. Think juicy plums, crunchy red fruit and sparkling freshness.
A great introduction to the new wave of Chinese fruit ciders. Low alcohol, naturally fruit-driven and incredibly easy to drink, this is one for the fridge and ideal with spicy food, salty snacks, charcuterie or simply served very cold on its own.

Appellance is a small, independent wine merchant based in Sydney, built around a simple idea: finding and sharing genuinely great wines from passionate producers around the world.
We focus on wines with soul. Wines made by real people who care deeply about what they do. Many of the bottles you'll find here are produced in small quantities, difficult to find, and chosen because we truly believe they're worth drinking.
Founded by Pedro Vicente, Appellance grew from a lifelong passion for food, wine, and hospitality. After years working as a chef and travelling through wine regions, meeting growers and tasting wines at their source, it became clear that some of the most exciting wines never make it onto the shelves of large retailers.
That's where we come in.
We spend our time searching for hidden gems, great value discoveries, and special bottles from Australia and beyond, making them easy for you to access and enjoy.
Every wine is personally selected, carefully stored in temperature-controlled conditions, and delivered with genuine care.
Most importantly, we're a small business that loves wine and loves helping people discover it. If you ever need a recommendation or are searching for something special, we're always happy to help.
Welcome to Appellance.
