Gentle Folk Chardonnay Adelaide Hills 2025
Made by Gareth and Prue Belton, Gentle Folk is a family-run Adelaide Hills estate rooted in care, detail, and sustainability.
A pure and quietly expressive Chardonnay that leans into finesse rather than force, capturing the calm precision of cool-climate fruit.
The nose opens with white peach, citrus blossom, and a touch of lemon curd, layered with subtle almond and a fine line of flinty minerality. There’s a softness to the aromatics, but also a sense of clarity and intention.
On the palate, it’s supple yet precise, with stone fruit and citrus gliding over a gently textured core. A whisper of oak adds shape rather than flavour, allowing the fruit and natural acidity to carry the wine forward. There’s an effortless balance here, where freshness and depth move in quiet harmony.
The finish is clean, lightly saline, and persistent — leaving a delicate impression of citrus and mineral. A Chardonnay of restraint and detail, understated but deeply compelling.
