Gorrondona Txakoli Basque Country 2024
From the green hills of Basque Country, Gorrondona captures the essence of Txakoli — a traditional coastal wine known for its light body, bright acidity and subtle saline freshness, historically poured in seaside bars to be enjoyed young and cold.
Made from Hondarrabi Zuri with a touch of Izkiriota Zuri Handia, it is handpicked and fermented with indigenous yeasts in stainless steel, then rested on lees for six months to build texture while retaining its natural energy.
The aromatics are precise and lifted, showing cut grass, lime leaf and delicate white florals, with a purity that recalls Clare Valley Riesling. The palate is lean and tightly structured, driven by bright citrus acidity and a fine saline edge, finishing clean and refreshing.
A natural partner for oysters, anchovies and salt-driven dishes, where its freshness and acidity come into full focus.
