Source of the Nile Sun God Zibibbo + Malvasia 2026
Source of the Nile is the personal winemaking project of Scott McGarry, working with carefully sourced fruit from vineyards across South Australia. His approach centres on minimal intervention, wild fermentation and Mediterranean grape varieties, producing expressive, characterful wines with an emphasis on freshness and drinkability.
Sun God 2026 is an aromatic, skin contact white made from organically grown fruit sourced from Thompson Organic Growers in South Australia's Riverland. Combining two wonderfully expressive Mediterranean varieties, Zibibbo and Malvasia, this is a wine that celebrates fragrance, texture and freshness.
The blend consists of 60% Zibibbo, destemmed and fermented on skins for two weeks, and 40% Malvasia, which spent 30 days on skins. Both varieties were wild fermented before spending six months in seasoned oak hogsheads. The wine was bottled unfiltered with minimal sulphur.
Bright, zesty and beautifully tropical, with aromas of pineapple, lychee, white peach and apricot, alongside hints of coconut and a playful frosty fruit character. The extended skin contact brings texture and aromatic intensity, while the modest 11.5% alcohol keeps everything fresh and lively.
An expressive, fragrant and deliciously unconventional Australian skin contact white.
