Domaine Milan Haru Rouge 2024 Provence
Haru is a Japanese word for springtime — evoking the start of a new season, freshness, and renewal. It is the perfect name for this cuvée. The Haru range (there is a white and a red) is made to fit that spirit: alive, energetic, and built for the moment.
Henri Milan Haru Rouge 2024 is a vibrant, low-intervention red from Provence built on purity, lift, and immediate drinkability. It comes from organically farmed vineyards with vines averaging 20 years old, rooted in clay and limestone soils that bring natural freshness and a quiet mineral thread to the wine.
The blend is Grenache, Syrah, Mouvèdre, and Cinsault. The Mouvèdre was vinified by full carbonic maceration, with semi-carbonic maceration used for the remaining varieties — a technique that maximises fruit lift and keeps tannins soft and approachable. After pressing, the wine was aged briefly in concrete tank before being bottled in March 2025.
The 2024 vintage is bright and juicy, showing red cherry, wild strawberry, and raspberry, layered with subtle herbal tones, crushed flowers, and a touch of white pepper spice. There is a Mediterranean ripeness to the fruit, but it is lifted by a crunchy, energetic frame that keeps everything alive and light.
On the palate it is supple and fluid, with soft tannins and a natural acidity that gives shape and tension. Fresh enough to chill on a warm day, but complex enough to drink at cellar temperature alongside grilled lamb. A wine for the table, for easy food, and for bottles that never seem to last long once opened.
