From Domaine Sigalas, one of Santorini’s benchmark producers, founded in 1991 by Paris Sigalas and dedicated to preserving the island’s ancient viticultural heritage. Made from ungrafted Assyrtiko vines trained in the traditional kouloura baskets and grown on Santorini’s volcanic ash and pumice soils, the 2024 vintage shows aromas of citrus peel, lemon blossom and sea spray, underpinned by intense mineral clarity. On the palate it is taut and precise, with saline freshness, bright acidity and a long, stony finish that captures the raw volcanic character of Santorini and the purity for which Sigalas is renowned.
