The sea infused Tempus Vivendi, named after Alberto Nanclares’s boat, was produced with grapes from the parishes of Vilalonga, Noalla, Adina and Dorrón in Sanxenxo in the coastal part of the Salnés, drawn from a total of 16 vineyards. It was made in the same way as the rest of the range with full clusters pressed, indigenous yeast fermentation in stainless steel and ageing on lees for around seven months. This is always saltier and very tasty, with contained ripeness and alcohol at 12.8 percent, neatly balanced by good acidity and low pH, finishing bone dry. Tempus Vivendi is a blend of multiple plots from Sanxenxo at the very southern tip of the Salnés valley, an outcrop of land that pushes straight into the Atlantic Ocean. The climate here is noticeably colder and more exposed than the rest of Salnés, and this is where Nanclares y Prieto shows its most angular and austere expression.

Driven by iodine and saline notes with a bracing coastal acidity, the 2024 carries a distinct oceanic character from start to finish. Vibrant citrus and white floral tones sit over a core of crushed stone minerality, giving lift and precision through the palate.

A tense, coastal and highly energetic Albariño that captures the raw Atlantic influence of its origin, combining precision, salinity and drive in a distinctly serious expression of the variety.
