A hazy amber pour of Viognier and Vermentino that already tells you this isn’t playing by the rules. On the nose it leans into dried orange peel, apricot skin and a touch of ginger spice, with that faint grip of tea leaves and wild herbs.

The palate has texture more than weight, gentle tannin from the skins framing the wine without drying it out. There’s a savoury edge running through it, almost cider like at times, lifted by a line of citrus and quiet freshness that keeps it alive.

It feels raw in the best way, energetic, slightly untamed, but honest. A wine that opens up with air and rewards a bit of patience.
