Maison Romane Chambolle Musigny 2021
A delicate and ethereal red from Maison Romane, a boutique Burgundy producer founded in 2005 by Oronce de Beler, who left Paris to pursue Pinot Noir in the Côte de Nuits. Maison Romane works exclusively with organically and biodynamically farmed vineyards, sourcing fruit from revered sites including Chambolle‑Musigny, and vinifies with minimal intervention to capture the pure expression of the land. Made from 100 % Pinot Noir, hand‑harvested and fermented with whole clusters and native yeasts, then aged in gently toasted old oak to preserve clarity and finesse, the 2021 release shows lifted aromas of red cherry, raspberry, rose petal and subtle forest floor. The silky, refined palate reveals bright red fruit, gentle spice and a lingering floral finish. A rare Burgundy wine that marries elegance, terroir, and the quiet devotion of a maker attuned to the land.
