Aristotelis Ke Anthoula Gundagai Chenin Blanc 2026
Aristotelis Ke Anthoula is a small Australian wine project producing expressive, minimal-intervention wines from thoughtfully farmed vineyards across New South Wales. Their approach is guided by gentle handling, spontaneous fermentation and a desire to let the fruit and vineyard speak for themselves.
The 2026 Gundagai Chenin Blanc comes from a vineyard rooted in ancient red volcanic soils, where healthy, biodiverse soils help produce fruit with remarkable concentration and natural acidity. Despite an intense heatwave early in the growing season, cooler weather and rain allowed the grapes to ripen slowly, retaining freshness while developing beautiful depth of flavour.
Harvested at first light, the whole bunches were gently crushed and basket pressed over several hours before undergoing a slow fermentation. The result is a wonderfully detailed Chenin Blanc, combining crunchy green apple, ripe pear and peach with bright citrus and subtle honeydew notes. The palate is generous yet beautifully restrained, with a savoury mineral finish and a lovely balance between texture and freshness.
Just over 1,200 bottles were produced in 2026. A compelling Australian Chenin Blanc with purity, character and a genuine sense of place.
