One of the great names of Catalan natural wine, Partida Creus is the tiny, uncompromising project of Massimo Marchiori and Antonella Gerona in the hills of Baix Penedès. They work organically with old local vines and forgotten varieties, making wines that are lively, characterful and completely unmanipulated.

VN is their beautifully wild, thirst-quenching white: a field blend of Garnatxa Blanca, Macabeu, Xarel·lo, Moscatel, Vinyater, Pansé and Parellada, with spontaneous fermentation and a short period of skin contact. Unfined and unfiltered.

Salty, herbal and full of crunchy citrus and orchard fruit, with a slight grip and the kind of freshness that makes the bottle disappear far too quickly. A quintessential Partida Creus wine and exactly the sort of bottle natural wine lovers should have open in the fridge.
