Agricola Flaxman Valley Seeliger Riesling 2025
New arrival. Very limited. Orders will be dispatched between the 17th and 24th of August.
Callum Powell's Agricola Vintners is one of the most exciting projects to emerge from the Barossa in years. His focus is on cool-climate Eden Valley hillside sites, working with dry-grown vines of exceptional age, and a winemaking approach that gets out of the way and lets the vineyard speak.
Seeliger Riesling marks the first white wine Callum has released under the Agricola label. Sourced from old vines on the Steinert family's Flaxman Valley hillside, named after the Steinerts' ancestors who planted the vineyard over 100 years ago, the site expresses a brighter, more lifted character than Agricola's elevated rocky parcels at home. The Riesling from these old vines was compelling enough to bottle on its own terms.
The 2025 vintage was early and dry, with low yields delivering concentrated flavours and striking natural acidity. Citrus, stone fruit, and mineral drive. Taut and focused with a long, crystalline finish. Built for the cellar.
11.7% alcohol. 1,003 bottles produced.
