Mandarin 2025 is one of the most distinctive wines from Aristotelis Ke Anthoula, the small-scale project of brothers Alex and Yianni who have built a reputation for thoughtful, site-driven wines that challenge convention while remaining deeply connected to place.

Sourced from their Nanima Road vineyard in Murrumbateman, this Riesling is grown on cool, wind-exposed granite soils and fermented on skins for five months before maturing in seasoned French oak. A lighter golden hue hints at a more delicate expression of Mandarin, opening with lifted aromas of white flowers, citrus blossom and mandarin zest.

The palate is finely textured and beautifully balanced, with notes of preserved mandarin peel, dried apricot, butterscotch and fragrant Earl Grey tea. Bright acidity and subtle phenolics provide freshness and structure, while a lingering citrus pith character reflects the wine’s extended skin contact. More perfumed and approachable in its youth than previous releases, it remains a wine of depth, complexity and remarkable ageing potential.
