Sébastien Christophe has built Domaine Christophe et Fils into one of Chablis's most exciting independent domaines, with a meticulous approach centred on individual vineyard sites and the preservation of terroir. His wines combine classic Chablis freshness with remarkable precision, texture and mineral intensity.

Mont de Milieu 2024 comes from one of Chablis's most underrated Premier Cru vineyards, situated on the right bank of the River Serein. Often overshadowed by more famous sites such as Montée de Tonnerre, Mont de Milieu produces wines of exceptional fragrance, texture and finesse.

Rather than relying on sheer power, this wine distinguishes itself through elan, floral lift and exquisite precision. The deeper limestone soils of the site give the wine a beautifully composed texture, while its naturally vibrant acidity provides the characteristic Chablis chisel.

The nose is lifted and expressive, with white flowers, citrus and subtle mineral notes. On the palate, it is finely detailed and energetic, combining crystalline fruit with chalky minerality and mouthwatering acidity. There is impressive depth beneath the surface, but the wine remains elegant and beautifully proportioned.

A particularly compelling Premier Cru for those who appreciate Chablis driven by site, tension and finesse rather than overt power.
