Sébastien Christophe has built Domaine Christophe et Fils into one of Chablis's most exciting independent domaines, with a meticulous approach centred on individual vineyard sites and the preservation of terroir. His wines combine classic Chablis freshness with remarkable precision, texture and mineral intensity.
Montée de Tonnerre 2024 is widely regarded as one of Chablis's greatest Premier Cru vineyards, situated on the right bank of the River Serein. Consistently producing wines of exceptional depth, tension and mineral complexity, it is often considered to rival Grand Cru in quality.
This wine distinguishes itself through power, precision and a signature flinty, smoky minerality. The Kimmeridgian limestone and clay soils of the site give the wine remarkable structure and concentration, while its naturally vibrant acidity provides the characteristic Chablis chisel.
The nose is intense and focused, with citrus, green apple, oyster shell and a distinctive gunflint character. On the palate, it is powerful yet precise, combining concentrated fruit with saline minerality and mouthwatering acidity. There is impressive depth and length, with the wine showing both immediacy and serious aging potential.

Founded by Pedro Vicente, Appellance grew from a lifelong passion for food, wine, and hospitality. After years working as a chef and travelling through wine regions, meeting growers and tasting wines at their source, it became clear that some of the most exciting wines never make it onto the shelves of large retailers.

We spend our time searching for hidden gems, great value discoveries, and special bottles from Australia and beyond, making them easy for you to access and enjoy.
Every wine is personally selected, carefully stored in temperature-controlled conditions, and delivered with genuine care.

We take responsibility for your order and will do our best to ensure it arrives safely. Please note that couriers can sometimes cause delays or breakages that are outside of our direct control. If this happens, please contact us and we will work to make it right.
We take great care in packing and storing our wines. If your order arrives damaged or faulty, please contact us within 48 hours of delivery and we will arrange a replacement or refund where appropriate. Due to the nature of wine, we are unable to accept returns for change of mind.
