A legendary single-vineyard Etna Rosso from one of the volcano’s most respected producers. Girolamo Russo has become a benchmark name for Nerello Mascalese, crafting wines that capture the elegance, freshness and mineral power of Etna’s unique volcanic landscape.

Made from Nerello Mascalese with a small percentage of Nerello Cappuccio, San Lorenzo comes from the historic Contrada San Lorenzo in Randazzo, where old vines grow at high altitude on volcanic soils. The grapes are organically farmed, with the wine expressing the purity of the vineyard rather than heavy winemaking influence.

The 2022 vintage shows a beautiful combination of wild cherry, red berries, violets, blood orange, herbs, mint and subtle spice. On the palate it is refined and powerful, with silky but structured tannins, vibrant acidity and a long mineral finish that reflects the volcanic origin of Etna.

An exceptional Italian red that sits somewhere between Burgundy and Barolo in style: aromatic, elegant and built for ageing while remaining incredibly drinkable.
