Domaine des Ardoisières was founded by Brice Omont on abandoned historic terraces overlooking the Isère valley in Savoie, farmed biodynamically on steep schist slopes with a focus on indigenous varieties and pure alpine expression. Silice Rouge is produced from trusted neighbouring organic growers, vinified with the same precision and philosophy as the estate bottlings: purity, freshness and a true sense of place.

The 2024 vintage is bright and lifted, light on its feet but full of flavour. A wonderfully fresh Savoie red that is equally at home slightly chilled.

In the Glass

Mondeuse Noir, fermented naturally with indigenous yeasts and aged without new oak. Wild strawberry, red cherry, raspberry and violet on the nose, with alpine herbs and a subtle peppery, mineral edge. Silky tannins, vibrant acidity and a long savoury finish. Delicious slightly chilled alongside charcuterie, grilled meats, roast chicken or mushrooms.
