Mark Haisma Bourgogne Rouge 2023

Bright, playful red cherries and raspberries rise from the glass with whispers of rose petal, forest floor and a touch of spice. Light yet expressive, it carries the charm of classic Burgundy with a gentle Australian warmth.

Crafted by Mark Haisma, an Australian winemaker who honed his craft at Yarra Yering under Dr Carrodus, this Bourgogne shows his signature balance of elegance and approachability. On the palate, soft tannins frame the fruit, lifted by subtle earthiness and a mineral thread that lingers.

A wine that feels like a conversation with both vineyard and winemaker, honest, charming and utterly memorable.

92 Points, James Suckling - "Spicy dark fruit, flowers and blood oranges on the nose. The palate is plush and generous with a textural mouthfeel, finely tuned tannins and bright acidity. Great value with plenty to offer, sourced from vineyards within the commune of Gevrey."

87-89 Points, Jasper Morris - "Glowing purple, with a very pretty, quite floral pinot fruit, elegance with concentration behind, an excellent result, fractionally peppery to finish."
