Neverland Femme Fatale Riesling 2023
Located in the village of Vendersheim in Germany's Rheinhessen region, Neverland Vineyards is led by brothers Sebastian and Marcel Class, eleventh-generation winemakers who bring a contemporary perspective to traditional German terroirs.
The estate farms its vineyards organically and embraces biodynamic principles, focusing on living soils and minimal intervention in both vineyard and cellar. The limestone-rich soils surrounding Vendersheim, formed from ancient Rhine river deposits, contribute to the freshness, tension and mineral clarity that define the wines.
While Riesling remains the central pillar of their production, Neverland is also known for unconventional cuvées developed in collaboration with chefs and sommeliers, reflecting a philosophy that values creativity, precision and drinkability while remaining grounded in the character of the vineyard.
Femme Fatale offers a more expressive interpretation of Riesling, where aromatic intensity meets structural precision. The wine opens with lifted notes of white peach, lime blossom and citrus zest, followed by a subtle mineral edge that reflects the limestone soils of Rheinhessen. On the palate it is vibrant and layered, combining juicy stone fruit with crisp acidity and a fine saline tension. Elegant yet energetic, the finish is long and refreshing, highlighting the balance between aromatic generosity and the cool, linear character that defines the region's finest Riesling.
100% Riesling from Vendersheim, Rheinhessen, grown on limestone-dominated soils with loess and marl. Whole-cluster pressing with native yeast fermentation, fermented partly in stainless steel and partly in large neutral oak, with extended lees ageing.
