A beautifully expressive Georgian red from Ori Marani, a small artisanal winery combining ancient Georgian traditions with a precise, modern approach. Nita showcases the incredible freshness and elegance that Saperavi can achieve when handled with minimal intervention. 

Made from 100% Saperavi grown in the village of Khashmi in Kakheti, at around 700 metres altitude, the organically farmed grapes undergo semi-carbonic maceration in traditional qvevri. The wine is fermented with indigenous yeasts, then aged in qvevri and old French oak before being bottled unfined and unfiltered with minimal sulphur.

The 2023 vintage is a beautifully light and vibrant interpretation of Saperavi, showing aromas of wild cherry, strawberry, violets, liquorice and delicate spice. The palate is fresh and juicy, with silky tannins, bright acidity and a savoury, mineral finish. Rather than the powerful style often associated with Saperavi, Nita offers elegance, finesse and incredible drinkability.

A true Appellance-style red: ancient Georgian techniques, indigenous grapes, organic farming and minimal intervention.
