Founded in 2015 by brothers Dimitris and Nikos Papadopoulos, Papadopoulos Viticulture is the culmination of a shared passion for wine, grounded in studies of oenology and natural viticulture. Nestled at the foothills of Mount Olympus in the historic PDO region of Rapsani, the winery was born from a vision to revive abandoned, centuries-old vineyard parcels and restore the area's rich winemaking heritage.

Working on steep, isolated slopes where ancient vines thrive in the cooling Aegean breeze, the brothers farm using gentle, traditional methods that encourage biodiversity, allowing native flora and the vineyard ecosystem to coexist naturally. The result is exceptionally healthy fruit that requires minimal intervention in the winery. Wines are produced through spontaneous fermentation with indigenous yeasts, without temperature control, and with only minimal additions of sulphur. Every bottle is an expression of Rapsani's distinctive microclimate, rugged terroir and the remarkable character of its old vines.

Central to their philosophy is the knowledge passed down through generations of local growers. Long-time custodians of the vineyards — including 90-year-old Mr. Takis, 83-year-old Mr. Christos and 74-year-old Ms. Kaiti — continue to share their invaluable experience, ensuring that traditional viticultural practices remain at the heart of every vintage. Together, they are preserving not only exceptional vineyards but also the living history of one of Greece's most revered wine-growing regions.

Crafted from a field blend of Assyrtiko, Roditis, Savatiano and others, the 2025 ORANGE is an expressive skin-contact wine that celebrates the character of Greece's native varieties. Gentle extraction and minimal intervention preserve both purity and texture, resulting in a wine that is vibrant, layered and unmistakably individual.

Aromas of mandarin peel, dried apricot, wild herbs and blossom unfold into a palate of fine tannins, bright acidity and remarkable energy. The 2025 vintage is defined by a distinctive savoury ginger candy note, adding depth and complexity while complementing the wine's citrus pith, tea leaf and delicate spice. Fresh yet textural, this is a beautifully balanced orange wine with a long, moreish finish that continues to evolve in the glass.

A versatile partner for roasted cauliflower with tahini, grilled octopus, charcuterie, aged cheeses, or aromatic dishes such as Moroccan tagine and Japanese katsu curry.
