Quinta do Ermízio 'Eléctrico' Vinho Verde 2024
Quinta do Ermízio is a family wine estate in Portugal's beautiful Vinho Verde region, where Atlantic influences, green hills and indigenous grape varieties produce some of the country's most refreshing wines. The estate is led by António Monteiro, whose approach celebrates the traditions and distinctive character of northern Portugal.
Eléctrico is a particularly fun collaboration between António, Spanish artist Leandro Barea, also known as Bazarleandro, and Brett from Astronoma. The result is a wine with as much personality on the label as in the glass, bringing a fresh, playful energy to the traditional wines of Vinho Verde.
The 2024 is a blend of 80% Loureiro and 20% Trajadura, two classic local varieties that work beautifully together. Loureiro brings its unmistakable citrus and floral perfume, while Trajadura adds a little body and softness. Expect crunchy green apple, fresh lime, grapefruit, orange blossom and a subtle touch of bay leaf, with a lovely saline character and a gentle spritz.
At just 11.5% alcohol, this is wonderfully refreshing, vibrant and almost impossible not to enjoy. Perfect with oysters, grilled seafood, a plate of conservas or simply a sunny afternoon. A little taste of northern Portugal that makes us wish summer would last forever.
