Ruppert-Leroy is the tiny Côte des Bar domaine of Bénédicte Ruppert and Emmanuel Leroy, farming their vineyards around Essoyes organically and biodynamically with an uncompromising, low-intervention approach.

Fosse Grely is the historic heart of the domaine, drawn from the La Fosse parcel. The 2022 was fermented and raised on lees in barrel and larger wooden vessels, with natural malolactic fermentation, no added sulphur and no dosage.

There is beautiful energy here: citrus, quince and vineyard peach alongside fennel, gentle spice and a subtle nuttiness. The Pinot Noir gives breadth and texture while Chardonnay keeps everything bright and mineral. A distinctive, vinous expression of the Côte des Bar and one of the defining wines of Ruppert-Leroy.
