Alessandro Stefani farms 13 hectares of certified organic vineyards in the Yarra Valley's Long Gully, between Healesville and Yarra Glen. Alongside the estate's original plantings of Chardonnay, Pinot Gris and Pinot Noir, Italian varieties reflect the Stefani family's Tuscan heritage. The focus is firmly on expressing individual sites through organic farming, balanced ripeness and a thoughtful, minimal-intervention approach in the cellar.

Supera II comes from the Belaradah vineyard, where Cabernet Franc is planted on the lighter, deeper soils of a north-eastern slope. The 21-year-old vines are farmed organically and picked earlier to preserve freshness, perfume and elegance. The 2024 vintage's wet, cool harvest conditions further contributed to the wine's naturally lifted and refined character.

Fully destemmed without crushing and fermented with minimal intervention in smaller vessels to maintain cooler temperatures, with 26 days on skins. Pressed and transferred to neutral French barriques for 24 months on fine lees before bottling in April 2026. Unfined, unfiltered and with only a small addition of sulphur at 12.5% alcohol.

Light on its feet but full of character. Vibrant raspberry and redcurrant, subtle herbal and earthy notes, fine-grained tannins and bright acidity. An elegant, restrained expression of Cabernet Franc with impressive length and freshness rather than weight.
