Katharina Wechsler is one of the leading names of the new generation in Rheinhessen, farming organically around Westhofen, with vineyards that include some of the region's most respected sites. Her wines are defined by precision, freshness and a strong sense of place.

The Riesling Trocken brings together fruit from vineyards around Westhofen, including Kirchspiel, Benn and Aulerde, planted on loess, clay and limestone-marl soils. The grapes are hand harvested, given a short period of skin contact, then spontaneously fermented with native yeasts in stainless steel before aging in tank. The 2024 vintage is particularly fresh and energetic.

On the nose, lime, pink grapefruit, white peach and stone fruit, with subtle floral and herbal notes. The palate is dry, bright and chalky, driven by lively acidity and a fine mineral grip. There is plenty of fruit, but the wine stays focused and refreshing, finishing with impressive length. Fresh enough for oysters and sashimi, but with enough texture and mineral structure for richer fish, pork and schnitzel. 12% ABV. Organic.
