From Abruzzo's foothills near Bolognano, Cantina Zaccagnini produces one of the region's most recognisable Montepulciano bottlings. The 2023 is 100% Montepulciano from hillside vineyards, vinified traditionally with fermentation on skins and maturation in large Slavonian oak.

It opens with dark cherry, plum and blackberry, with violet, sweet spice and a faint earthy undertone. Medium to full-bodied with soft tannins, a juicy core of dark fruit and moderate acidity. The finish is smooth and fruit-driven. A classic, approachable Montepulciano that stays true to Zaccagnini's accessible house style.
