The TMV Riesling 2025 from Two Tonne Tasmania is a precise and textural expression of the Tamar Valley, shaped by the focused approach of Ricky Evans. The fruit is sourced from three sites within the valley, including two in Relbia that contribute a classic lemon–lime drive, alongside the Three Wishes vineyard, which brings a more generous, sun-kissed fruit profile.

Fermentation was long, slow and cool to preserve purity and detail, with a small portion of the fruit left on skins for 24 hours prior to pressing to build extra grip and aromatic edge. A touch of residual sugar (6.5g/L) has been retained to seamlessly balance the natural acidity, creating harmony between tension, fruit weight and texture.

The result is a Riesling of notable concentration and savoury complexity. Salted lime, crushed shells and brine lead the aromatic profile, followed by pithy citrus, white spice and a subtle waxy texture that gives shape and depth. The palate is tightly structured and mouth-filling, driven by long, saline acidity that defines the wine’s linear, focused finish.
